Pumpkin Pink crochet flowers

2009 August 22
by Tammy

Well PP has been a little slow as I deal with working extra days and finishing up my Masters projects (which has really been my main focus the last few months)
But I have been creating :)
I’ve been making some crochet flowers and it took me a while to be happy with the size and shape. Normally I’m a knitter and making my own pattern for these flowers took a bit of effort but I am finally happy with them.
I will be putting these up for sale soon – I just need to make some more. So look out for the link coming soon :)

bridgetteWhat a totally awesome layout by the talented Bridgett Hatton
Love the Goth look Bridge
Bridgette has used one of my Journal-it square journaling blocks and given it a bit of a lift with some Glimmer mist.
You can find Bridgettes blog here… http://scrappinbridge.blogspot.com/ and I have also linked her in the contributors section on the right hand side of my links list.

I was lucky enough to meet Bridge in person recently at the Scrapboxx retreat. What a fabulous time we all had. I made some fabulous ‘new’ friends and met up with some old one (old as is known for a while not old as in age wise  )

I have also used a few journal-it blocks recently on a couple of layouts and also on my name tag for the retreat :)

retreat name tagI actually attached my photo to this Journal-it after I had painted it with gesso and adding some doodling :)

out for publication
In this layout I have used the rectangle Journal-it, covered it with patterned paper, cut about 1/3 off and attached that at the top and the other section to the side of my layout.
A tip for covering fiddly chipboard shapes with patterned paper is to actually trace around your shape first, onto your paper, then cut out with a nice sharp craft knife and glue this onto your chipboard. This is much easier than gluing you paper on first and then trying to trim it ;)

Please feel free to email me with your layouts if you have used any of my chipboard designs. I would love to have you on the Pumpkin Pink blog :)

Watch this space as I am about to launch my new designs! (the girls from the Scrapboxx retreat have already had a sneak peak :) )
